Beautiful photos. Happy New Year to you as well!
ReplyDeleteWow ~ I can related to your poem and your photos ~both are awesome and say so much ~ Several ago I began to feel adverse to fireworks ~ I would much rather enjoy the stars in the sky ~ yet I know most people like fireworks ~ more into peace and solitude ~ Wishing you a peaceful, happy and healthy New Year ~ hugs,

ReplyDeleteI like all the components of the Penelope song though I can't catch the whole of the lyrics because of my poor English listening skills. The image of a little girl and an old man as well as the singer’s voice is warm, uplifting, and evocative.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your loved ones lovely year 2026 with good health and lots of smiles.

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Maria. Rolling over sorrow (tragic and those tragic only to me and mine) is a skill I am attempting to cultivate. With limited success. But working on it and at the same time welcoming the beauty and peace that we can find when we look for it.
ReplyDeleteWhoever sang "Penelope Puddle" deserves to be better known.
ReplyDeleteI think so, too, though vocal and instrumental tracks were electronically produced as a gift to me from a couple of Penelope Puddle fans. :) The original lyrics emerged from the character's storyline and messages and are copyrighted by me. I put the sound on YouTube, along with edited art painted by my daughter many years ago.
