I love this post, Penelope, the poem, the thoughts and the photos. Thank heaven for nature, and spring - sparking hope in our hearts so burdened with the injustice of all that is going so wrong. Hope that as soon as humanly and politically possible, the tide will turn and we will begin rebuilding all that has been lost.
ReplyDeleteYour words, your poem all beautiful and so are your images. Soothing to my soul. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love that first sky photo and am a fan of dogwood.
ReplyDeleteSweet birds.
ReplyDelete...Maria, it's always enjoyable to check in on your beautiful area, and this week is no exception. Be well and merry.
ReplyDeleteI love how your poem balances wonder with uncertainty. And those beautiful images of spring make the mystery feel wonderfully alive.
ReplyDeleteAhh, how lovely those flowers are presented. I can almost smell them. I grasp the wonder and solitude of the path. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe tall tails we poets tell ~ oh yes you have captured the poet's essence beautifully! Love the poem and as always the lovely photography. You have a gift.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent Spring photos that match your poem so well ~ Hugs ^_^
ReplyDeleteI love how the poem’s words and the images come together to celebrate spring. It’s incredible to think how fortunate we are to live in the Goldilocks zone—far enough from the Sun to avoid burning, yet close enough to experience the beauty of all the seasons.
ReplyDeleteWe need planters and storytellers to give meaning to life. Great post!
ReplyDeleteWow I love this poem We really are story tellers always searching for meaning and filling in the gaps Love the last line as well. So good I saved it on my computer. Beautiful photos too.
ReplyDeleteI love that storytellers fill a gap - a beautifully reflective post - Jae
ReplyDeleteIndeed yes, human beings do seem to be hard-wired to seek to explain the world to ourselves. Better, perhaps, to simply enjoy it – and your lovely photos certainly add to my enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteWise words Penelope! We not just hope things happen but help make things happen that would ease off potential difficulties. Love it!

The unseen potential often brings unexpected growth, which is wonder of nature. I think you and I share one of nature's greatest simple pleasures—walking in the dappled shade among the greenery.
