All I Want Is ...

"When a flower doesn't bloom you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower." - Alexander Den Heijer

Where we landed is a succulent place.
Like bits of fluff scattering, blown from here to there.
Gardens are aplenty.
We group into pairs.
Deliciousness abounds ...
and sustenance is found ...
from what was sown in the ground and air.
Bound by nature ...
we go astray.
We seed the bitter ...
and then fly away.
We snuggle in cozy spaces ... sometimes fight ...
forgetting that together ...
we grow into our light.
Our future on Earth is uncertain and all I want now ...
is to stay afloat and paddle to the flow of life.

  10. Maria, your words and photos have touched my heart. I’d like to believe that it’s not too late for us to sow in our environment as much as possible so that future people can harvest.

  15. Beautifully said. It would be great if more people cared. It is their future, but it seems to not matter.

  18. This only reinforces the tragedy of the ongoing assault upon the Earth. Pictures of the tar sands should be posted side-by-side with this beauty to illustrate our stupidity and arrogance in its wilful destruction.
