We're All Growing, We're All Going

One day she'll fit into her mother's shoes.
We're all growing and we're all going somewhere.
Even when it seems we're sitting still, changes are happening.
Even when there is little to grasp we are growing and going.
The pumpkin (below) is changing from yellow to orange. It's preparing for Fall and has no idea if it will be a pie or a carved-out decoration. It doesn't know where its seeds will land or if its shell will be a tasty delight, a nest for a candle's glow, or neither.

We also all fly with each thought that wanders, and sometimes with our inventions ...
simulating what birds do with ease.

We all are wondering, all hoping ...
and in need of a tender touch along the way.
